Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books is an elective book-related competition that students can choose to join. We read books off the annual Wisconsin Battle of the Books List, play review games, and participate in discussions in preparation for our school-wide tournament that begins in January. Students create teams for the tournament. The winning team in our school wide tournament goes on to the online state competition in February.

Student sign up for Battle of the Books begins in November. Fifth grade uses the state elementary list for our competition while sixth grade uses the middle school list. We use Google Classroom to hold our practice resources and schedules.

Our 2023 5th Grade state team took 30th in a field of 218 teams.

Our 2023 6th Grade state team were 44th in a field of 147 teams.
